"Pappa al pomodoro" - Bread and tomatoes soup

Ingredients for 4 people:
300g. slightly dry bread, 400g. tomatoes sauce, 3 cloves of garlic, 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 basil spring, salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Soak the bread in cold water until the bread is soft and spongy, then wring

In a casserole brown the garlic in olive oil, add the tomatoes sauce and correct the seasoning

Cooking for 10 minutes and put in the casserole the bread and basil to taste

Cooking for other 15 minutes and serve piping hot with extra virgin olive oil
